What our accredited inspectors and consultants undertake
Every engagement is led by a Master Mariner and Chief Engineer. It is hands-on experience applied to the vetting and assurance frameworks that govern global shipping and offshore work.
Inspections
Accredited inspection support across the vetting systems charterers, terminals, and regulators require before cargo operations and offshore deployment.
TMSA / OVMSA
Evaluation and strategic enhancement of Tanker Management and Offshore Vessel Management self-assessment frameworks against OCIMF guidelines.
Post-Inspection Support
Root cause analysis, corrective actions, and crew briefings that turn SIRE, OVID, RISQ, or internal audit findings into charter readiness.
SMS Reviews & Advice
In-depth reviews of Safety Management Systems that look at how crews actually work, not just what the paperwork says, to cut operational risk.

Operator support after inspections
We don't stop at flagging risks; we help close them out. Every inspection follow-up comes with hands-on technical support, so clients can respond quickly and get back to charter readiness.

SMS review and improvement
Field experience turned into working systems. We bring Safety Management Systems in line with current standards and how your crews actually operate, from policy revisions to getting crews on board, shaped around your operation.

Architects of industry frameworks
Robert co-created the OCIMF OVID and OVMSA inspection programmes. We are not interpreting the standard; we helped write it.
"Built on trust. Whether you're preparing for an audit or planning further ahead, we know what good looks like, and we know how to get you there."

Robert began his career at sea as a Shell cadet, earning dual qualifications as a Deck Officer and Marine Engineer. He sailed VLCCs, Aframaxes, LNG, LPG, and DP shuttle tankers over nearly two decades to reach unlimited Master Mariner and Chief Engineer licenses.
Ashore with Shell's London-based commercial and marine assurance teams, he led SIRE and time-charter inspections, cargo assurance audits, terminal audits, and loss-prevention initiatives. He then served as a marine pilot and logistics director in West Africa. At BP, he drove installation and commissioning of a deepwater FPSO and CALM Buoy.
At Chevron, he led design and construction of Angola LNG's Port of Soyo, and as Global Upstream Marine Authority in Houston, co-created the OCIMF OVID and OVMSA inspection programmes. Today he offers that expertise directly to clients seeking safer, more efficient marine operations.
